A laboratory or imaging result needs to be interpreted along with the reason for consultation, history, medications, symptoms and previous tests. That is why your review is carried out within a medical check-up and not as an isolated response via messaging.
What the clinical review considers
- The reason why the examination was requested and the available medical history.
- The ranges reported by the laboratory or center that performed the study.
- The evolution, current treatments and, if applicable, previous results.
- The need for follow-up, complementary examination, in-person evaluation or referral.
How to prepare the control
Keep the complete report and have the date, the center where it was carried out and any previous indications available. Initial coordination can be done through WhatsApp, but avoid sending images of sensitive reports or background information through that first contact.
A number alone is not equivalent to a diagnosis
An out-of-range value does not always have the same meaning for everyone. Interpretation depends on the clinical context. If the report indicates an emergency or you have intense symptoms, seek in-person care or call 131 as appropriate.
Do you have results pending review?
Arrange for a medical checkup. The professional will review the relevant history during the care.
